MASTER MUSES IN OUR FUTURE

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
--Eleanor Roosevelt--

Looking at these spectacular photos filled everyone in this Studio with a sense of ageless end-of-summer nostalgia…what it was to feel that incredible sense of youthful enthusiasm, freedom, abandon, spontaneous joy and friendship! Isn’t that exactly what we search for during the rest of our adult lives? It got us to thinking about who, among those kids, will become Master Muses of the future. We hope the answer is: ALL OF THEM!

Recently, we had the privilege of being introduced to two future Master Muses. We would like to extend a big THANK YOU to Megan of Dot In Time and A Month of Today’s for mentoring an extraordinary budding talent named Mat Wojcik. At sixteen years old he has multiple creative interests and describes himself as a guy who loves to make artistic things and pushes his creativity to the limit with filmmaking, music, photography and writing. We have never met Mat; but look forward to keeping tabs on this obvious creative talent. Check out his new photographic blog Coffee House Wall.

In another part of the world, we had the good fortune of reading an imaginative and beautiful story written as a school project by twelve year old Elizabeth C. We would have never known about this if her Mom had not proudly shared that her essay was chosen to be read and discussed by the class. We asked Liz permission to print her story and she shyly agreed.

Please feel free to contact us regarding any young and future Master Muses that have caught your attention. We would love to profile them here and will make an effort to post a sample of their work at least once a month.

On that note, please scroll down to read Elizabeth’s first publicly recognized work of fiction, MY DREAM COME TRUE.

Royce...a big thank you for mentioning both my blogs & Mat's. As you already know, he is most appreciative, as am I. It's fun to watch young talent develop and it's definitely an honor to encourage it.

I often felt stifled creatively growing up-your passion and support of these kids touches a chord with me-thank you.
