'TIS THE WILL OF THE SOUL

TRADITIONAL FELUCCAS SET SAIL
ON THE NILE RIVER, EGYPT

Here in the MUSEologies Studio, we have stacks of books on the tables, on the floor, in the chairs, next to Mr. Crapper’s marvelous invention and under the beloved ‘tower of elephants’ lamp. Today, Pat Croce’s remarkable book floated to the surface. The title is: I Feel Great and you will too! Jimmy Buffett describes it as: “…a foot-stomping, knee-slapping good read.” There is no doubt about this assessment. You will also find inspiring psychology, energized sociology and unexpected jewels of philosophy.

Page 189, for example, where Pat writes:

"I’m no poet. I don’t read much poetry. But there’s one poem, only eight lines long, that I committed to memory a long time ago…I recite it in every motivational speech I give…It was written by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, and it goes like this:

One ship sails east, and another west
With the same winds that blow;
‘Tis the set of the sails and not the gales
That decides the way we go.
Like the winds of the sea are the ways of fate
As they voyage along through life;
‘Tis the will of the soul that decides its goals
And not the calm or the strife.

"We are all capable, every one of us, of far, far more than we realize…The only thing that is ever foolish about a dream is to not act on it. ‘Tis the will of the soul…how bad do you want it?”
